Phil Yates - Web Developer, and all round pretty good bloke

Sooo what are you? Well... I am a PHP web developer based in London, United Kingdom. I have a 2:1 degree in Computer Science and 3+ years industry experience. My experience coupled with my training allow me to build top notch web apps and websites. I am technically minded but I can also muster a conversation so thats Win:Win, I can understand client requirements but also articulate how the technology will work. That's great but give me the techno-mumbo jumbo!

I have a broad range of experience incorporating:
  • CakePHP
  • PHP
  • jQuery
  • CSS
  • XHTML
  • HTML
  • MySQL
  • LAMP, MAMP, WAMP
  • IIS
  • SQL Server
  • Windows, Mac OS X and Linux
  • Eclipse IDE
  • SVN
  • Photoshop

So excellent communication skills, coupled with a good sense of humor and a good work ethic, I think, makes me a good addition to any team.

That's all well and good, but what kinda bloke are you? Well outside of work I am wholesome married man, married to 1 smoking-hot lady Sarah, and have two gorgeous children. I am a keen DIY enthusiast having redeveloped most of the house we live in right now. I enjoy sports and play the bass guitar.

Anything else? Nope not really thing you pretty much got it, thanks for taking the time to ask some more questions.

Thanks for reading!
